Solar Energy

Solar energy is the most commonly recognized form of green electricity production. Solar panels can be seen everywhere from residential rooftops to parking structures in office complexes. It is a cheap yet extremely viable source of clean power.

Solar energy is not a new concept. Passive solar power has been used for centuries to help heat everything from homes to water supplies. Active solar, on the other hand, is only now starting to hit its stride.

Active solar energy refers to the use of solar panels for electricity production. These panels absorb sunlight, which causes electrons to flow through the system, thus generating electricity. These panels can be used to power everything from homes and businesses to laptops and cell phones.
