Solar Panels

Solar panels are designed to use the power of the sun to create electricity. It is a highly popular form of alternative energy production due to its low cost and ease of use. Today’s panels have become more low profile and more efficient than those of just a decade ago.

Solar panels are made from a series of smaller silicon cells. As sunlight contacts these cells, they release electrons, which are made to flow in one direction, thereby creating electricity. This electricity can be either used directly or stored in batteries for future use.

There are many local, state, and federal programs that can be used to make installing your own solar panels much less expensive. These programs are most often in the form of tax incentives and/or subsidies. And of course, once these systems have been installed, the energy they produce is pretty much free of charge.
