Wind Energy
Wind energy refers to the process of creating electricity by harnessing the kinetic energy of the wind. Wind power is quickly gaining ground as one of the most promising forms of renewable energy. And its increasing use for residential applications has only furthered its popularity.
For large-scale wind energy production, wind farms are becoming more and more common. A wind farm is essentially a collection of large wind turbines that are used to create a single supply of electricity. These farms are often massive, occupying hundreds of acres of land.
Wind energy, while an ideal source of electricity, does have its limitations. The nature of this type of energy production requires a steady, constant supply of wind. In many locations this is not a problem, but it does create issues in other areas of the country.
